In cases where advanced intervention is required to solve your condition, Pulse Podiatry offers a unique, direct referral to highly trusted surgical specialists. This avoids frustrating waiting list times.
We offer the services of Professor Burke Hugo.
Some common conditions include (not limited to):
Bunions- Hallux Valgus- Stage with significant pain on walking and propulsion phase of gait (Push off), walking, exercising, rubbing, cosmetic appearances
Crooked, overlapping, painful toes which cause discomfort and imbalance. Some of these cases can be surgically corrected in the chair under local anaesthesia. One such technique is a flexor tenotomy. This is a minimally invasive, outpatient surgical procedure that corrects hammer, mallet, or claw toe deformities by cutting the flexor tendon on the bottom of the toe. It is commonly used to treat or prevent diabetic foot ulcers by straightening the toe, often requiring only local anesthetic and no stitches, allowing for rapid recovery. During assessment, we can determine if you are a suitable candidate for this procedure. If you are not suitable, other conservative options will be offered.
Ganglion- Visible soft lumps affecting movement
Neuroma- Nerve condition causing shooting, numbness, tingling sensations
Fibromas- Lumps in the foot
